Launching into Learning (LiL)

Launching into Learning (LiL) is a free program for young children (birth – 4 years old) and their families. It helps parents and carers, and their children get to know their local school and meet other families. LiL operates in all Tasmanian Government primary and district schools and Child and Family Learning Centres.

LiL programs support children with their development in an atmosphere of fun and creativity and helps children transition into Kindergarten.

Bagdad Primary School offers two LiL sessions a week throughout the school term.

  • Wednesday - 9:00am - 10:00am in the school library. This session offers play and learning in a supported environment. In addition, chidlren can borrow books from our library.
  • Thursday - Mini Movers 9:00am-10:30am in the school hall. Our Mini Movers sessions offer gross motor games, free play and activities.

Each LiL session is guided by a teacher and offers play based learning activities, visits to our school rivulet and excursions.

Attending LiL is a great opportunity to get to know your local school. It also gives you a chance to connect with other families within your community
